Paco Alcacer scored on his debut for Borussia Dortmund against Eintracht Frankfurt before sustaining an ankle injury.
The former Spain international, who is on a season-long loan from Barcelona, was on target in Friday night’s 3-1 victory for Dortmund but the game ended on a slightly sour note.
“He has not played a lot recently and needs time to get to full fitness,” boss Lucien Favre is cited as saying by Diario AS.
“He will undergo tests after feeling some pain in the back of his ankle.”
