Sergio Busquets admits he ‘could never have dreamt’ of enjoying such success throughout his career and credited the faith of Pep Guardiola.
The deep-lying midfielder debuted for Barca aged 20 and has gone on to win seven league titles and three Champions League crowns, alongside many more trophies beside.
“To win so many titles, play so many matches and experiencing such incredible feelings are aspects I could never have dreamt of,” Busquets told Barcelona club media.
“Of course, this is what you work hard for and it is the aim for every player, but few are lucky enough to have such a career path.
“It started very well because I was afforded a lot of minutes and was winning trophies straight away, despite my young ages.
“I was very nervous at the start but obviously the Coach (Pep Guardiola) knew me from Barcelona B and he helped me a lot.”
