Luis Suarez has stated Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba would ‘be welcome at Barcelona’ in the event of a transfer.
Reports over summer said Barca had seen a €50m offer plus player exchange deal rejected by United, while defender Gerard Pique also openly discussed a possible move for the Frenchman.
“Paul Pogba is an elite player who has won everything you can,” Suarez is cited as telling Catalan radio station RAC1.
“He is a player with a lot of quality and is one of the stars of Manchester United, and would probably like to be competing for even more trophies than he is right now.
“He would always be welcome at Barcelona, even if he is not our player.”
