Eight and easy for Barca

Barca battled back spectacularly from going 1-0 down early on as Luis Suarez bagged his first goals of the season, Lionel Messi took his tally to four and Ousmane Dembele netted for the second consecutive week.

Blaugrana boss Ernesto Valverde had all of his first team available, barring young trio Sergi Samper, Denis Suarez and Carles Alena.

Huesca, meanwhile, had made an unbeaten start to life in the top flight, winning and drawing each of their opening two games.

The two teams last met in the 2014-15 Copa del Rey, when the Catalans demolished the new boys 12-1 on aggregate.

Huesca sent an early warning shot when Cucho Hernandez headed across Marc-Andre ter Stegen in the third minute, but Messi left former Deportivo La Coruna right-back Luisinho on the deck to equalise.

VAR then confirmed an own goal from Jordi Alba’s cutback, which didn’t go out of play, before the left-back returned the favour to Suarez for his first goal of the season.

The Aragon side seemed down and out, yet they showed signs of life when Alex Gallar pulled one back just before half-time, turning in Hernandez’s deflected cross.

Nonetheless, Barca exploded after the break with five goals, starting with Dembele finishing off a Suarez through ball with aplomb.

Rakitic then blasted a half-volley across Axel Werner, before Coutinho’s defence-splitting pass through the middle was tucked away by Messi.

Barca ensured they put another eight past Huesca when Alba knocked in a finish at the far post and the No 10 passed up the chance of a hat-trick, giving his penalty to Suarez, who converted the spot-kick.
