‘This Madrid aren’t so chaotic’

Mauricio Pellegrino expects Leganes to face a ‘less chaotic and more rational’ Real Madrid in La Liga on Saturday.

Pellegrino takes his Leganes side to the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday evening, still without a victory to their name after defeat to Athletic Bilbao and a draw with Real Sociedad.

“I see something different in this Real Madrid compared to last season’s,” he said at a Press conference.

“They take to the pitch in a more rational way. It’s not so chaotic. They have more possession now.

“Those who got injured last week are still out. As for those who played last week, Ezequiel Munoz is a doubt.

“He picked up a small knock, but he’s the only new player out, in addition to the Madrid loanees who can’t play this game.

“The players here now have to prove themselves. It’s as if they’ve rented their shirts for a week and have to defend it them for the next one. That’s how I understand it.”

The former Southampton manager also confirmed Los Pepineros were in talks to sign Middlesbrough forward Martin Braithwaite, but a deal could not be done in time.
