Machin urges Sevilla caution

Sevilla Coach Pablo Machin has urged his players to ‘keep their feet’ on the ground after a resounding opening day victory at Rayo Vallecano.

The Andalusian club ran out 4-1 victors in Vallecas with new signing Andre Silva netting a hat-trick in the rout against the newly-promoted side.

“It was a great game from us and our identity made us superior,” Machin told Sevilla’s club website.

“We must not get carried away with our triumph, we must continue to analyse the game and not believe that all our problems have been solved – let’s keep our feet on the ground!

“The system is working because the players in my squad have the qualities to carry out their instructions and have taken in everything to push themselves to the limit.

“Andre Silva? The system is made for players like him, he played his part and scored the goals when chances came his way.”
