Batshuayi responds to Sevilla criticism

Valencia new boy Michy Batshuayi insists he will play more than Sevilla’s prediction of ‘four Champions League games’ this season.

Batshuayi chose to join Valencia ahead of Sevilla, prompting the Andalusians’ President to accuse the Belgian of short-sightedness.

“He wants to play in the Champions League… Why would you go to play four Champions League games when he could’ve played 30 in the Europa League and, on top of that, score goals?” Pepe Castro was quoted as saying by Cuatro.

The Chelsea loanee responded at his presentation: “I don’t want to answer that. I’ve joined to Valencia to play more than four Champions League games.”
