Real Sociedad have officially signed Real Madrid defender Theo Hernandez on a season-long loan.
Theo arrives as a much-needed reinforcement at left-back for La Real, who do not have an option to buy, and the 20-year-old has high hopes for his time at Anoeta.
“Real have a very competitive team,” he told Real Sociedad TV. “I hope it’ll be a great year, both collectively and individually.”
The Frenchman only joined Madrid from arch-rivals Atletico last summer, having impressed at Alaves the season before.
However, he played just 23 times as Marcelo’s deputy and failed to join brother Lucas in his country’s ultimately-triumphant World Cup squad.
