PSG go for Dembele?

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly pursuing a late move for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.

According to Mundo Deportivo, PSG have called Dembele’s agent ‘repeatedly’ with the intention of ‘tempting’ him to Parc des Princes.

Furthermore, contacts between the two clubs have been ‘fluid’ for weeks as the Catalans previously tried to sign Adrien Rabiot, before the 22-year-old’s name was mentioned.

The Frenchman worked with PSG boss Thomas Tuchel at Borussia Dortmund during the 2016-17 campaign, and the pair are known to rate each other highly.

“Thomas Tuchel is one of the three best Coaches in the world, along with Zinedine Zidane and Pep Guardiola,” Dembele is quoted as saying.

“On a human level, the relationship Tuchel has with his players is incredible. He’s above everyone else in this sense, there’s no-one better. He’s the best.”

The German responded: “Ousmane is the most talented player I’ve coached so far. Technically he’s gifted. When the Messi-Cristiano match ends, he’ll be a firm candidate for the Ballon d’Or.

The former Stade Rennais ace joined Barca last summer for an initial €105m but only played 23 times for Barca in his debut season due to injuries.

MD assures both the player and Blaugrana want keep their relationship going but warns they will be forced to study any ‘astronomical’ offers.
