Machin wants Sarabia stay

Sevilla boss Pablo Machin says he wants midfielder Pablo Sarabia to remain with the club and sees him as vital to his future plans.

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder, signed from Getafe in 2016, has been strongly linked with a move to Real Sociedad in recent weeks.

Nonetheless, Machin is in no mood to let the Spain Under-21 international depart the Sanchez Pizjuan and is adamant he sees him as a vital cog in his plans.

“I look at Pablo as just one more of the squad and he has been one of our most outstanding players in pre-season,” he told a Press conference.

“I think the way we play is great for him and it’s also fantastic for us to have someone of his quality, who is able to play between the lines and understands the game.

“He is very important and will surely continue to be. I see him as being very involved in what Sevilla want to do and he’s going to be very important.

“He’s one of our best players and the future of Sevilla surrounds people like Pablo Sarabia,” he added.
