Real Madrid Coach Julen Lopetegui has refused to comment on rumours that Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has joined the club.
Widespread reports in the Spanish press say the Belgian international has penned a six-year contract at the Bernabeu after a €35m fee was agreed with Chelsea.
“I have already told you (the media) that the only players I speak about are those who play for Real Madrid,” Lopetegui told reporters after Tuesday night’s 2-1 victory over Roma in the International Champions Cup.
“There are only four goalkeepers that I can to you about at the moment: Keylor [Navas], Kiko [Casilla], Andriy [Lunin] and Luca [Zidane].
“When the situation changes, I will speak to you about it of course.
“Keylor Navas? I believe he is incredible, he has been great for us during preseason and is another player that I am thrilled to have.”
The Belgian international goalkeeper – who won the World Cup Golden Gloves award – is out of contract at Stamford Bridge next summer and is said to be available for €35m.
Madrid have held a long-standing interest in bolstering their goalkeeping department as Navas has held the number one jersey for the last three seasons.
