La Liga new boys Rayo Vallecano have reportedly held talks to sign former Paris Saint-Germain attacker Hatem Ben Arfa.
According to L’Equipe, Ben Arfa’s representatives met Rayo executives at the club’s training ground over a possible transfer.
The 31-year-old is a free agent after failing to make a single competitive appearance for PSG last season, having fallen out of favour under Unai Emery.
Primarily a No 10 but capable of playing on the right, the left-footed Frenchman was previously linked with Sevilla.
He has 15 caps and two goals for his country but has not played for Les Bleus since November 2015.
Rayo, meanwhile, have shown intent this summer by already bringing in the likes of Gael Kakuta and the fastest player in the world, Peruvian full-back Luis Advincula.
