Offical: Getafe sign Ivan Alejo

What was an open secret has now become official after Getafe announced they had signed winger Ivan Alejo from Eibar.

Valladolid-born Alejo has penned a deal at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez until 2023, with Marca quoting the transfer fee as €4m, which could increase to €5m with add-ons.

The 23-year-old becomes the eighth addition of the transfer market for the Madrid club and the third-highest sale in Eibar’s history, behind Florian Lejeune and Keko, despite him having only joined the Basque club from Alcorcon last summer for just €300,000.

In addition, Getafe also unveiled new signings Markel Bergara and Leandro Cabrera from Real Sociedad and Crotone respectively, both of whom were on loan at the club last season.
