Upjest boss: Sevilla favourites

Nebojsa Vignjevic, boss of Hungarian outfit Ujpest, says Sevilla are “absolute favourites” ahead of their Europa League clash on Thursday.

The sides meet in the second qualifying round of the competition at the Sanchez Pizjuan and Vignjevic {pictured, left] is under no illusions about the size of task facing his side against the Andalusians.

“For us it is a great opportunity to play against a side like Sevilla,” he told a Press conference. “We know how they play and when the match starts we’ll know their true level.

“We are hopeful and will try to do things as well as possible. They are absolute favourites and we have analysed some of their games.

“They are a very technical team and football in Spain is played very quickly, although I am heartened by the absence of players such as Ever Banega and Steven N’Zonzi,” he admitted.

For his part, Ujpest defender Robert Litauszki confessed the atmosphere would serve as “an extra motivation for Sevilla” but insisted his team “are going to enjoy it very much”.

The winners of the clash will face either Vaduz or Zalgiris Vilnius in the next round.
