Barca’s Yerry Mina ‘agrees Everton move’

Everton are reportedly ‘very close’ to completing the transfer of Barcelona defender Yerry Mina in a deal said to be worth €17m.

The Blaugrana paid Palmeiras €11.6m for the 23-year-old in January, but he has played just five times for the Spanish champions.

The 23-year-old netted three goals in the World Cup as he impressed Colombia and Goal.com say he has agreed personal terms with the Merseyside club.

The report continues that the Catalan giants signing off on such a deal is all that is needed to complete the transfer.

Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti are their first-choice partnership in central defence, while Thomas Vermaelen has proven himself as a backup and Clement Lenglet has arrived from Sevilla.
