Rafa Mir ‘would like’ Las Palmas switch

Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Rafa Mir is edging towards a season-long loan deal at recently relegated Las Palmas, according to reports in Spain.

Various Spanish media outlets have cited a report in Zona Amarilla which claims the Gran Canarian club are working on a deal for the 21-year-old.

“I would like to play at UD Las Palmas, it is an attractive project,” Mir told La Provincia.

“Who would not like to play in the Canary Islands?”

Mir joined Wolves in January from Valencia in a €1.5m deal but was limited to just two substitute appearances in the Championship, totalling 29 minutes of action.

The move came to fruition due to the striker’s fine form for Valencia B this season, where he netted 15 goals in 19 appearances.
