Robert Kraft wants large Sevilla stake

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is hopeful of securing a 40% stake in Sevilla, according to reports in the Spanish press.

Cadena Cope say the 77-year-old chairman of the Kraft Group is leading a consortium to buy the large stake within the Andalusian club.

Kraft also owns Major League Soccer's New England Revolution, and the stadium in which both teams play, Gillette Stadium.

Sevilla’s ownership structure has been uncertain for some time with ESPN FC citing a report in El Mundo Deportivo that a power battle is ongoing within the club.
