Mbappe: Staying at PSG ‘100%’

Kylian Mbappe, the youngest goalscorer in a World Cup Final since Pele, has vowed to reject Real Madrid and stay at Paris Saint-Germain ‘100 percent’.

Mbappe helped France to their second World Cup, scoring in their 4-2 win against Croatia on Sunday, and also scooped up the tournament’s Best Young Player award.

His performances in Russia were overshadowed somewhat by Madrid reportedly agreeing a world-record deal to prise him from PSG and Los Blancos going on to issue a denial.

Nonetheless, the 19-year-old said after the game: “I’m happy in Paris and I have several years left on my contract. This is the happiest day of my life. I’m staying at PSG 100 percent.

“I’m very happy. The road was long, but it was worth it. We’re proud to make the French people happy. We had this duty and they forgot all their problems.

“We play for that kind of thing. I want to do even better, but being a world champion is a good thing!

“We've been working all season and now’s the time for us to celebrate.”
