Real Betis have reached an agreement to sign Sporting CP midfielder William Carvalho with the player giving his ‘yes’ to a move, say reports.
A report in Portuguese outlet Record stated the 26-year-old had signed an agreement with the Seville-based club on Thursday ahead of a move.
On Friday, it’s front page was comprised of the Portugal international joining Betis in a deal which is an initial €17m for 75% of his rights, a further €10m for the rest and €4m in add-ons.
Lisbon-based A Bola also leads on reports a deal has been reached between the two clubs in the region of €30m.
The central midfielder would fill a void left by the outgoing Fabian Ruiz and provide competition for Javi Garcia in the holding midfield role.
