Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi has joined Borussia Dortmund on a two-year loan deal, it has been confirmed.
The Moroccan international has left the European champions in a similar deal which took James Rodriguez to Bayern Munich last summer, but no option to buy is included.
Last week, Madrid completed €40m signing of Real Sociedad right-back Alvaro Odriozola, who will provide direct competition with Dani Carvajal next season.
Hakimi, 19, is primarily a right-sided defender who can also play in the heart of the defence and he has already amassed 13 caps for Morocco, including all three group matches at this summer’s World Cup.
