Bournemouth want to sign Leganes defender Diego Rico but may be forced to pay his €20m release clause, say reports in Spain.
The 25-year-old joined the Madrid-based club from Real Zaragoza following their promotion in 2016 and has starred in Spain’s top flight since.
A report in Marca states the Cherries want to strike a deal this summer and have offered an initial €8m, but this falls a long way short of the defender’s clause.
Rico has played 51 top-flight matches at Butarque across the past two seasons.
