Barca considering Paulinho sale

Barcelona midfielder Paulinho is considering a return to the Chinese Super League after receiving ‘a multi-million offer’, according to reports in the Spanish press.

Diario Sport say the central midfielder’s transfer value has gone up this summer due to his performances in the World Cup with the Brazil national team.

The Catalan giants now believe they can sell the former Tottenham man for €50m this summer, making a €10m profit on a player they signed from Guangzhou Evergrande last year.

However, despite the club’s openness to selling the central midfielder, Coach Ernesto Valverde is said to be enthusiastic to retain Paulinho’s services.

Barca can only have three non-EU players in their squad while Philippe Coutinho, Yerry Mina and soon, Arthur, will fill those spots, so one player must leave.
