Sevilla close to Kalinic

Sevilla are closing in on a move for Milan striker Nikola Kalinic despite the two clubs still standing apart on their valuation of the player, according to reports.

The 30-year-old joined the Rossoneri from Fiorentina last summer but managed just six goals in 31 Serie A appearances and the report says his representatives are aiming to structure a move to Spain.

ABC de Sevilla site a report in Corriere dello Sport which states that Los Rojiblancos have lodged a €14m offer for the Croatian, which falls below his €25m valuation.

However, both reports state a move is likely as the Milanese club want to move him on and Sevilla are keen to push through on a deal.

Kalinic, who scored 32 goals in 68 appearances for the Viola, would add competition to Wissam Ben Yedder and Luis Muriel at the Andalusian club.

The striker was sent home early from Croatia's World Cup campaign for allegedly not being prepared to come from the substitutes bench during a group stage match.
