Recently relegated Deportivo La Coruna have completed the signing of Alaves forward Christian Santos, it has been confirmed.
The 30-year-old Venezuelan international striker joined the Basque club from Dutch side NEC Nijmegen in 2016 but had struggled to nail down a regular starting spot.
New Depor Coach Natxo Gonzalez and sporting director Carmelo del Pozo were both said to be keen on the deal while Alaves have now sanctioned his early departure.
Santos netted two goals in 10 appearances last season and will become the fourth signing of the summer at Depor following goalkeeper Dani Gimenez’s move from Real Betis, Pedro Sanchez joining from Granada and Argentine defender Sebastian Dubarbier.
The striker has signed a two-year deal at Depor.
