Valencia defender Joao Cancelo will complete his €38m move to Italian champions Juventus this week, according to reports.
Spanish media have picked up on reports across Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and La Gazzetta dello Sport that a deal has essentially been done, with a permanent transfer rather than any loan.
The 24-year-old, who made 26 appearances on a season-long loan deal at Inter last season, is set to leave the Mestalla this summer.
It is thought that only €12m of the transfer fee will be upfront, with the remainder of the amount paid up in by next summer.
Wolverhampton Wanderers were also linked to the wing-back but Los Che have made a small discount on their €40m asking price to force through the permanent transfer.
The Milanese giants subsequently missed the May deadline to activate their €35m right to buy the defender, due to their desire to meet UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
Valencia would prefer to keep Cancelo but their own financial situation means they must sell before they can replenish their squad, despite qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
