Busquets reveals ideal partner

Sergio Busquets has revealed the Spain midfielder ‘who is best suited to me’ – Atletico Madrid’s Koke.

Explaining his choice at a Press conference for Monday’s World Cup group finale against Morocco, Busquets felt Koke was the ‘most positional’, while assuring he would continue to give his all, despite being a yellow card away from potentially missing the quarter-finals.

“All our midfielders are great players and have their own profiles and characteristics,” the Barcelona stalwart said at a Press conference.

“It’s true that Koke is the most positional and the one who is best suited to me, but I feel comfortable with everyone because they’re all great players and our strength is that everyone gets involved in defence and attack.

“On a yellow card? It’s clear that it’s a constraint, but we knew it before the World Cup. That’s what the rules are.

“I’m available to the Coach and I’ll give my best. The risk is the same as in our second game.

“Morocco out? Football is often unfair, and they’ve played much better than their zero points.

“They’ve had the bad luck of conceding in both games at the last minute, one from a foul our wide in the last minute and from a corner, a set-piece, which is very important.

“It‘s very difficult to win games here, they’re very tight and it’s shown by them having zero points, despite playing great football.

“Not killing off games? We’re relatively concerned, we’d like to kill games off with more goals. It’s been the same for our opponents, but each match is different.

“When a team go behind and there are only a few minutes left, they go forward or change the system and you either control the game very well or it’s a case of heads or tails.

“We had much more control against Portugal but ultimately they equalised from a set-piece.

“Against Iran, yes, a bit of everything escaped our control and there was some loss on our part.”
