Madrid plot Kante swoop?

Real Madrid are reportedly ‘very interested’ in signing Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.

AS cites a report in Le Parisien, which claim Madrid are ‘best placed’ to bring in Kante, despite competition from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

The publications even believe the Frenchman has already opted to accept an offer from Los Blancos, who plan to push him further forward, as an alternative to Luka Modric or Toni Kroos.

The 27-year-old would also knock out two birds with one stone as Mateo Kovacic looks likely to move on, as is defensive midfielder Marcos Llorente.

Kante rose to prominence with Leicester City during the 2015-16 campaign, winning the Premier League title with the Foxes.

He joined Chelsea the following summer and picked up another League crown, while making 89 appearances for the Blues.
