Ligue 1 club Nantes have made an approach for out-of-favour Barcelona defender Douglas Pereira dos Santos, according to reports.
Get French Football News cite a report in Ouest France that the French top-flight club want to loan the Brazilian full-back without an option to buy.
The club’s current right-back and captain Leo Dubois has agreed to join Lyon at the end of the month and they are now in the market for an affordable replacement.
Douglas spent last season on loan at Benfica but made only seven appearances for the Lisbon-based club, of which five came in domestic cup competitions.
The 27-year-old joined Barca from Sao Paulo in a €1.5m deal in 2014 but started only one La Liga match, and he spent the 2016/17 season on loan at Sporting Gijon.
