Sevilla look to Daniel Sturridge deal

Sevilla are among a list of clubs hopeful of signing Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge this summer, according to reports.

ABC de Sevilla cites a report in The Telegraph that Los Rojiblancos would be willing to pay the €17m (£15m) asking price for the former England international.

Sturridge has just one year remaining on his contract at Anfield and is expected to leave this summer while the Andalusian club tried to sign him in January, before he joined West Brom on loan.

However, the 28-year-old made just six appearances for the Baggies and is said to be open to a move away from England this summer.

Sevilla sporting director Oscar Arias is no longer at the club but new Director of Football Joaquin Caparros is reportedly interested in a deal.

Sturridge netted a Europa League final goal against Sevilla in 2016, in a match which the Spanish side won 3-1.
