Rodrigo Battaglia, a reported transfer target for Real Betis, has become the latest in a line of players to rescind their contracts at Sporting CP.
The 26-year-old is said by El Desmarque to have ‘several suitors’ but Betis are ‘top of the list’ of the midfielder’s preferred destinations.
The Argentine, who only joined the Lions from Braga twelve months ago, now appears to be available on a free transfer.
Battaglia has joined Rafael Leao in the latest players to attempt to cancel their contracts at the Lisbon-based club, following on from Rui Patricio, William Carvalho, Gelson Martins, Bas Dost, Bruno Fernandes and Daniel Podence.
