Antoine Griezmann has reiterated that he will make an announcement on his future ‘before’ France’s first game at the World Cup.
Barca remain the likeliest destination for Griezmann if he was to leave Atleti, and the attacker promised to honour his claim last week that he would reveal his next move before France’s World Cup opener against Australia next Saturday.
“Some people in Spain have said that I’m staying, others that I’m leaving and myself…” he told Telefoot.
“I’ll say it before we play our first game. The World Cup starts for France next Saturday, so there’s still time.”
His national-team boss Didier Deschamps added: “I have some information, Griezmann’s staying in Spain.”
