Madrid offer Ronaldo €32.5m?

Real Madrid have reportedly offered Cristiano Ronaldo an improved €32.5m salary to keep him at the club.

According to Cadena COPE, Ronaldo would earn a fixed sum of €25m plus €7.5m in bonuses, split into €2m for winning the Champions League, €1.5 for La Liga, €1m for the Copa del Rey, €1m for the Best FIFA Men’s Player, €1m for the Ballon d’Or, €500,000 for the League’s top goalscorer and the same for reaching a certain number of appearances.

However, the broadcaster warns he would still earn less than Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar ‘in the best case scenario’.

“Madrid think he could earn the money they don’t pay him from a couple of sponsorship deals,” said COPE journalist Manolo Lama.

“The situation is very complicated but not irreversible. They believe he made a mistake in saying what he said in Kiev, but they attribute it to his character.”
