OFFICIAL: Huesca appoint Leo Franco

Huesca have appointed their former goalkeeper Leo Franco as their Coach ahead of their debut season in Spain’s top flight, it has been confirmed.

The Argentine will replace Rubi at the helm at the newly-promoted Aragon club, who is set to take the helm at Espanyol after a highly-successful season.

Franco is a hugely experienced former goalkeeper who played in the Spanish top flight for a decade across spells with Real Mallorca and Atletico Madrid.

The 41-year-old, who also played for Independiente, Galatasaray and San Lorenzo, finished his career at Huesca in 2016 before taking up a coaching position.

Franco won four caps for Argentina and represented his nation at the 2006 World Cup.
