Report: Liverpool eye €100m Oblak

Liverpool are reportedly considering whether to pay €100m for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

AS cites a report in The Mirror, which claims Liverpool are already looking for a new No 1 after Loris Karius’ howlers during the Champions League Final on Saturday, which saw him gift Madrid two goals in a 3-1 defeat for his side.

Out of that, Oblak would have emerged as the Reds’ favoured target, with the publications noting they would be willing to pay his €100m release clause.

The Slovene joined Atleti from Benfica in 2014 and has gone on to make more than 150 appearances for Los Colchoneros, winning three straight Zamora Trophies for La Liga’s best goalkeeper.

The Mirror and AS add Liverpool’s other target is Roma shot-stopper Alisson, although they warn the Brazilian – once linked with Real Madrid – is currently in talks over a new contract with the Giallorossi.
