OFFICIAL: Brighton sign Depor’s Andone

Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Deportivo La Coruna striker Florin And one for a €6m (£5.25m) fee.

The 25-year-old Romania international will join the Seagulls on a five-year deal after a cut-price deal was struck with the relegated Galician side.

Andone scored 18 goals in 69 appearances during a two-year spell with the Spanish club, but only six came last season as they suffered relegation to La Liga 123.

The striker joined Depor in a €4.7m move from second tier Cordoba in 2016, while the Premier League side had reportedly lodged an offer of €16m, which was rejected, last season.

“He is a player that we have tracked for some time, and he will add a new dimension to our attacking options,” said Seagulls boss Chris Hughton.

“He is a very hard-working player, and has proven his quality at the highest level in Spain, as well as at international level. I am looking forward to working with him next season.”
