Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz insists the only thing on his mind is this weekend’s final game of the season and not his future.
The 22-year-old Spain Under-21 international has become one of the strongholds in the Betis midfield this term, prompting interest from a number of top clubs hoping to secure his signature, including Serie A giants Lazio.
However, Fabian refused to elaborate and was adamant his only concern right now is to finish the current campaign on a high.
“The only thing I’m thinking about is Betis and at this moment it hasn’t entered my head to leave the place where I grew up,” said Fabian at a club promotional event.
“We have a match at Leganes on Saturday where we can finish fifth in the table and that’s the only thing that matters right now.
“I cannot talk about the future. I am focused on Betis, on Saturday, and then going on holiday – nothing else.
“We’ve shown this year that with hard work anything is possible and that for youngsters like myself it is possible to play a lot of minutes and do well.”
