Espanyol are preparing to sell star players Gerard Moreno (pictured) and Aaron Martin this summer, according to reports in the Spanish press.
A report in Diario Sport states the Catalan club are hopeful of receiving a combined €32m for the duo, with Moreno set for Villarreal and full-back Martin to Portuguese giants Benfica.
Moreno is the second highest Spanish scorer in La Liga this season with 16 goals to his name, while the highly-rated Martin has previously been linked to both Manchester clubs.
Villarreal are set to pay €20m for striker Moreno to return to the club after a three-year absence, with the club holding a clause due to retaining 50% of the player’s rights.
A ‘verbal agreement’ with Benfica for the €12m sale of defender Martin to Benfica is already in place and an announcement is said to be imminent.
