Oblak unsure of Atletico future

Jan Oblak revealed after Atletico Madrid’s 3-0 Europa League win over Marseille that he was still unsure if he will remain at the club.

The Slovenian goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Premier League side Liverpool and Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain recently, following his great form for Atleti this season.

However, the 25-year-old, who has helped Los Rojiblancos to second in La Liga this term and is in line for the Zamora Trophy, says right now he does not know what the future holds.

“People talk about things, they have their opinions, but I’ve always said I have a contract here and I don’t know what will happen in the future,” Oblak insisted to reporters in the mixed zone following the game.

“I am still here and I’m not thinking of anything else but Sunday when we need a point to finish second.

“This is an important moment as we have won a title after quite a long time, so we are happy and it’s important for us all.”

Oblak maintained it was a “deserved” victory and added that he was not afraid of the many flares inside the stadium, although “I didn’t want someone to hit me on the head with something”.
