Levante boss Paco Lopez said his team wanted to put on a show against Barcelona and that was exactly what they did.
Los Granotas beat the champions 5-4 in a pulsating game at the Ciutat de Valencia and Lopez insisted it was the perfect way to finish the campaign at their home stadium.
“I have a feeling of great happiness because I remember how the team was just two months ago,” Lopez told reporters.
“There are so many emotions right now that I don’t know how to explain it, but I am very happy to bring so much joy to the Levante fans.
“We knew we were up against Barcelona, a team with a lot of talent and great quality, and in the end it was a spectacular game.
“The truth is that we wanted to put on a show and that’s what we did. It’s difficult to pick out any one player yet the important thing is that everyone left very happy.”
