Coutinho: Hat-trick not important

Philippe Coutinho insists he would have happily traded in his hat-trick for Barcelona beating Levante but admits the latter ‘deserved to win’ on Sunday.

“The feelings aren’t good ones, we wanted to end the season without losing and be unbeaten champions, but we had a very tough match against a team who rolled their sleeves up. They deserved to win,” he told BeIN Sports after his side’s 5-4 defeat.

“It was a very tough match. It was a bit open and we almost drew towards the end, but now it’s over.

“Sometimes we don’t start games well, tonight they started better and we conceded two goals.

“My hat-trick? The most important thing is always the team. We didn’t get the win, so it’s not a good day for me. We have to look forward.

“Real Sociedad next? We have one more game at home. It’ll be Andres [Iniesta’s] final game and we must all have a good match and give him a great farewell because he deserves it.”
