Bardhi: We can beat Barca

Enis Bardhi says Levante’s recent upturn in form has given them the confidence to believe they can beat anyone.

Los Granotas face Barcelona at the Ciutat de Valencia on Sunday after taking maximum points from their last four games, and the Macedonian midfielder believes there is no reason why they should not overcome Ernesto Valverde’s men.

“We are showing we can beat any team right now even though we are the same players as before,” Bardhi told Levante’s official television channel

“However, we have now changed our mentality and the team has confidence, which is very important in football and in the end gets you points. We just needed that confidence. We are all very happy with our boss Paco Lopez because he helps us a lot.”

Bardhi has become something of a specialist at dead ball situations this season and has scored just one less than Lionel Messi from direct free-kicks.

“I never think if I have to take a free-kick or not, but they bring out the best in me even if I’m only thinking of the game and general play. I’m happy to help my team take more points but without my teammates I wouldn’t score so many goals,” he explained.
