Sevilla revive interest in Stoke City star

Stoke City’s relegation from the Premier League could see Sevilla involved in a five-team tug-of- war for Stoke midfielder Joe Allen.

According to a report in The Sun, the Andalusians still retain a keen interest in the Wales midfielder after losing out on him to Liverpool six years ago, and may be ready to join the scramble for his signature once again.

The 28-year-old signed a five-year deal at the Bet365 Stadium in July 2016 but there is no relegation clause in his contract, meaning the Potters might ask as much as €20m for him.

It is understood that top-flight clubs West Ham United, Swansea City and Newcastle United are all keen, with promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers also monitoring the situation.
