Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has confirmed he held a meeting with Antoine Griezmann’s agent earlier this season.
The Atletico Madrid forward has been linked with a summer switch to the Camp Nou with his deal at Los Rojiblancos reported to have a €100m release clause.
“I don’t want to talk about players at other clubs,” Bartomeu told Catalan radio station RAC, as cited by Diario Sport.
“I bumped into Griezmann when I was on holiday last year and we held a meeting with his agent last October.
“Our relationship with Atletico and (their president, Enrique) Cerezo is strong, we discuss a lot of issues.”
