Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal is set for a three-week layoff after suffering a thigh injury against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, say reports in Spain.
Lucas Vazquez deputised in the right-back slot after the Spain international was forced off with the muscular injury in the second half of the Champions League semi-final first leg victory.
“I’m waiting for the results but I will remain calm,” Carvajal is cited as saying by Marca, who also report he faces between two and three weeks out of action.
“I feel a bit of pain but I am aiming to be back as quickly as possible.”
Carvajal is now likely to miss the second leg of the Champions League semi-final but should be back well in advance of a potential final.
