Barca’s Digne set for Juve move

Juventus are hopeful of completing a deal for Barcelona defender Lucas Digne this summer, according to reports in the Spanish press.

The French full-back’s contract at the Camp Nou runs through to 2021 and contains a €100m release clause but Diario Sport report the club would sanction a sale in the region of €16m.

That is the same fee for which the Catalan giants signed the Frenchman from Paris Saint-Germain in 2016 and that this fee is likely to be agreeable for the Italian champions.

The report continues that Digne is likely to replace Alex Sandro at the Bianconeri, with the Brazilian defender likely to join PSG who will in turn sanction Yuri Berchiche’s return to La Liga.

Digne has played second fiddle to Jordi Alba in his time at the Blaugrana but has always produced reliable performances when called upon.
