Zidane: Asensio the difference

Zinedine Zidane hailed Marco Asensio for ‘making the difference’ during Real Madrid’s 2-1 win at Bayern Munich on Wednesday

“We suffered a lot, at the start and also at the end, but we went on to pick up an important result,” the Coach told BeIN Sports after his side took control of their Champions League semi-final.

“It was a very good one, but you can’t play in the Champions League without suffering. It’s a shame that we lost Isco and Dani [Carvajal], but Asensio came on and made the difference.

“Isco? He had problems in his shoulder from the start, he wasn’t comfortable and we had to change him.

“I hope he won’t be out for long. Carvajal also got hurt, although he’s told me that it isn’t serious.

“Asensio playing very well? It’s nothing new. He made the difference in the match. He’s quick and he has a powerful shot on him.

“He entered the game very well, and I’m happy with him and his teammates. Vazquez? He had a great game.

“He worked very hard and ended the game as a right-back. Between him and Modric, they controlled Ribery, who also had a great match.”
