Zinedine Zidane has explained that Real Madrid’s recent success in the Champions League is down to the club’s DNA.
The Frenchman has only been at the helm at Los Blancos for 27 months but is three games away from winning his third Champions League title as Coach – and the club’s 13th.
“We have a great level of determination and success is in our DNA,” Zidane told his pre-match press conference, as cited by Marca.
“This club is used to winning and to being right at the very highest level, that is our history and it runs throughout the club.
“Determination is the most important aspect of any success because we are always facing great teams and Bayern are a great team, but we are comfortable in these games.
“We have lacked consistency in La Liga this season, especially in the first half of the campaign, but I have no doubts about my team or my players.”
