Inter change plan on Cancelo?

Inter are in talks with Valencia to extend their deadline on signing on loan defender Joao Cancelo, according to reports.

The Milanese giants have an option to sign the Portugal international on a permanent basis for €35m, but this reportedly must be triggered before the end of May.

Cancelo is on a season-long loan deal from Los Che – with Geoffrey Kondogbia, in turn, on loan at the Mestalla – with reports now suggesting the negotiations over permanent deals could extend into the summer months.

The Nerazzurri’s sporting director Piero Ausilio is said to be in talks with officials at the Mestalla in order for a satisfactory deal for both clubs and players.

Last week, Calciomercato.com reported Inter as being in negotiations with the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, regarding a deal which could see a transfer fee lowered in exchange for a higher wage packet.
