‘Neymar to Madrid very likely’

Former Barcelona and Brazil star Rivaldo claims ‘it’s very likely’ that Neymar will leave Paris Saint-Germain for Real Madrid this summer.

Neymar has been heavily linked with Madrid, just a year after his world-record transfer to PSG, and Rivaldo – who scored 130 goals in 236 appearances for Barca between 1997 and 2002 – had his say on his fellow Blaugrana old boy.

“I’ve already said that Neymar can be the best player in the world, but I don’t think he’ll ever make it if he stays at PSG,” he told TV Globo.

“He has to leave the PSG. If you look at England, Spain, Italy, Germany… it’s different. I’m talking in terms of football, competition.

“Neymar won’t go back to Barcelona. His situation was very difficult there.

“According to the information I have, because of everything I’ve heard lately, I think it’s very likely that Neymar will go to Real Madrid.

“I believe he can become the best player in the world there.”
