Aspas faces three-week layoff

Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas is facing three weeks on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring tear in Tuesday’s draw with Barcelona.

The Spain international netted the Galician side’s second equaliser in a 2-2 draw but he later suffered a Grade I tear to his right hamstring.

The 30-year-old has been in fine form for Celta this season, netting 20 La Liga goals in 32 appearances – the highest by a Spaniard in the division.

He is set to miss the forthcoming league clashes with Valencia and Villarreal but is hopeful of a return for the Galician derby with Deportivo in early May.
